Prayer

Hi guys! I wanted to tell you about an awesome time of prayer I had the other day.

Okay so everyone has prayer chain. We all take hours so there’s literally someone praying 24/7. Compassion DTS had the Sunday afternoon slot and I signed up for 3 to 4. (This information is slightly irrelevant.)

Anyway we came together and went through the usual steps, thanking God, getting a clean heart, resisting the enemy, asking the Holy Spirit to come, laying down our own thoughts, and then asking what to pray for. The first weird thing I noticed was I didn’t get anything clearly right away. That’s weird because I at least usually get something fairly quickly. The second thing I noticed was I only got one word, and I had no idea what God was getting at. Usually when that happens I just ask for more, but that time I didn’t get anything. So we all regrouped and Sarabeth also got one word and I think Erin didn’t get anything. So we prayed again, got a few more things but it was still unclear. (I can’t remember if we did the same thing again or not but we got the same results if we did.) Then we thought it might be an issue of Satan blocking things so we took some time to do some spiritual warfare. Since I was the one who read the book on that I led so that was interesting. Then we asked God again and things started to come together. We got more of an idea of what to pray about and Sarabeth got that we were supposed to do a prophetic act. (We’re just about positive that was God because she doesn’t like prophetic acts.) By then we had used up maybe half our time so we did some praying and when we had three minutes left we started walking around the base proclaiming. (You know those verses about calling out from the wilderness and making a path for God? We read those out loud.) We barely got any weird looks too, isn’t YWAM awesome?

So I just thought you’d be interested.
